WORKSHEET BUILDER INSTALLATION

Install Worksheet Builder using Windows' Add or Remove Programs function in your Control Panel.  Click on "CD or Floppy" even if you have downloaded the installation program to your hard drive.  Browse to find the "setup.exe" file and follow the instructions to install Worksheet Builder on your computer.

The installation includes a copy of Worksheet Builder's User Notes.  If you want to learn more about Worksheet Builder without installing the program, you may download the User Notes separately.

Once you have installed Worksheet Builder, you will notice that the program has six different libraries:  Algebra, Advanced Algebra, Geometry and Standardized Test Practice on these three topics.  These libraries contain almost seven thousand questions.  Consider installing a seventh library created by Saxon Publishers to your Worksheet Builder program with 519 dynamic questions on topics from grade 4 to Advanced Algebra.

A primary feature of JMAP is the integration of the NY Regents questions into Worksheet Builder's Algebra, Geometry, Advanced Algebra and Standardized Test Practice: Algebra libraries.  To use this feature, you must replace the existing version of these four libraries on your computer with JMAP's Regents-enhanced version.  The enhanced libraries retain the original Worksheet Builder questions, but now include all the Regents questions.

As an alternative to installing the Regents Enhanced Libraries, you may use Worksheet Builder to access JMAP's Regents by Topic worksheets or Regents by Chapter worksheets, containing all the Regents questions.  You may refine these worksheets by adding/deleting questions, editing the header, etc.

Another alternative is downloading the JMAP CD and copying the contents to a writeable cd.  Included on the JMAP CD is an executable copy of Worksheet Builder with up-to-date Regents-enhanced libraries which you can use to open, edit and print .ws files on computers that do not have Worksheet Builder installed.
