PRINTING PROBLEMS

Some printing problems may be fixed by updating your programs to the most recent version available.  JMAP's resources were created using the following applications:

JMAP uses Equation Editor and MathType to create equations for its books, worksheets and exams.  If your computer does not have installed certain fonts that these programs use, elongated parentheses and brackets are replaced with letters.  Certain math symbols also come up blank if the required fonts are not installed on your computer.

The easiest way to correct the font problem is to install Worksheet Builder onto your computer.  As part of the installation process, Equation Editor and all required fonts needed to use JMAP are installed.

Another way to correct the font problem is to install MathType.  The installation provides a 30-day trial period (no credit card info or email address is required).  Even if you decide not to buy MathType, a MathType Lite program remains available on your computer after the 30-day period.  More importantly, the fonts remain available, and the font problem stays resolved.

Sometimes diagrams appear faded when you print JMAP materials on color printers.  To fix this, change your printer's properties to print color pages in black and white.
